Highland Lake, Cumberland, Maine on March 10, 2017

Western Tanager  1    Seen immediately upon arrival, in close-by conifer; then flew down to feeders and remained for photos for 15 minutes.  At one point, stole a mealy worm from the bill of a chickadee; with meals of grape jelly, grapes, and mealy worms, I can't imagine this bird will be leaving soon.
