Last December 2026, PILP received a generous donation of land from John Faison, a long-term supporter of Peaks Island Land Preserve.
John's principal residence is in New York City, but he has been coming to Peaks in the summer since 1968, living in a house not far from the donated parcel in Tolman Heights. At that time, the island had far fewer residents and houses, but John anticipated that this would change and there would come a time when the preservation of open space would be important. His donated lots abut Tolman Road and are between two other parcels previously donated to PILP- Clarks Woods and another skinny rectangle we call "Tolman Road”. It is not far from the Ice Pond, which PILP acquired in 2012.
